بما اني اليوم اجازة من كل شي بسوي ملخص عن اهم النقاط الموجودة في المحاضرة السابعة اولا النص عن مدينة منية النصر اذا اردنا تصنيف النص وفقا للعلماء اللي درسناهم The text is Expressive الان نجيب عن الاسئلة المهمة قبل الترجمة What is the message content of this particular ST? This part of text is taken from a short story which mainly aims at entertainment and humor محتوى النص هو للتسلية وللفكاهه -------------------- What are its salient linguistic feature There are various kinds of word-play, metaphor of water, narrative, repetition مميزات النص اللغوية هنا التكرار والسرد واللعب بالالفاظ والاستعارة -------------------- What genre dose it belong to and what audience is it aimed at Literary genre. نوع النص او يهدف الى الادب او نوع ادبي ------------------- What are the functions and intended audience of my translation? Entertainment and humor / general audience : educated and non-educated الجمهور المستهدف للترجمة جمهور متعلم وغير متعلم ---------------------------------- How to (translate) deal with names of people? places?things? Figures of speech? Discuss the presence of the translator! The setting of text is in Egypt. Using Google كيف تترجم اسماء الاشخاص الاماكن الاشياء عن طريق قوقل وعن طريق تحديد النص انه في مصر والاولى مافهمتها لكن مكتوب مناقشة وجود المترجم ----------------------- هذا اللي انا اشوف انه ممكن يجيب اسئلة عليه المحاضرة ممتعة بشرح الدكتور عني ماراح اذاكرها راح استمع لشرح الدكتور قبل الاختبار طبعا من هذي المحاضرة وحتى محاضرة 13 بالتوفيق المحاضرة الثامنة ركز على مشاكل واختلافات الترجمة اول مشكله هي small change تغير طفيف نوع المشكله اللعب بالالفاظ the problem ……………. wordplay This word may have two meanings :the first one is ( the 25% increase which is a slight change ) الكلمة لها معنيين الاول ان 25% زيادة هي تغير طفيف the amount of money ,1.8 billion, is relatively like a small change as far as the huge budget of the government is concerned ). ان هذا التغير بمبلغ 1,8 تغير بسيط بالنسبة لمزانية ضخمة -- المعنى الثان coins with low value هي العمله المنخفضة القيمة التسوية هي :تغير بسيط الباك ترانسليشن سمعته في المحاضرة يقول ماراح يجيبه اللي سمع زي ماسمعت يقول ------------------------- £ 1.8 billion + - £750 + several hundred million pounds + -£ 300m المشكلة هي العمله او كيف نترجم العمله currency It's important to know how the amounts of money the text contains are going to be used من المهم نعرف كيف نترجم نص يحتوي على مبالغ مالية ومن المهم نعرف سعر صرف العمله several hundred million pounds وهذي ايضا مشكلة كلمة several hundred لاننا مانقول في لغتنا عدة مئات نقول عشرات الوف مئات الوف مئات ملايين لذلك تحذف كلمة سيفرال عند الترجمةاو تهمل ------ -£ 300m هذي ايضا حرف m المقصود به مليون لكن عند الترجمة مانحط م لازم نكتب الكلمه كامله جملة لقيتني كاتبتها انه عند الترجمة نكتب القيمة الموجودة في النص الاصلي ومضاف لها القيمة في بلد المترجم اليه النص مادري اذا شرحي هذا افادكم او لاء لكن ان شاء الله يساهم بشي يسير والان استودعكم الله وتصبحون على خير - the chancellor + treasury - problem …………….. cultural reference المشكله هنا المرجعية الثقافينة chancellor معناها مستشار ومعناها المقصود فيها في النص وزير المالية 2. Treasury لها معنى الخزنة والمقصود بها في النص وزارة المالية The two terms mentioned above have specific connotations in the British financial system which appears to be sophisticated when compared to the Saudi system which refers only to the minister and ministry of finance. Both of the terms will be substituted to compensate the loss هنا الترجمة كانت بطريقة التعويض Both of the terms will be substituted to compensate - Britain's " overcrowded, under-financed, under-planned and under maintained transport system" - " - problem : ( grammatical equivalence ) This relates to morphological and syntactic difference between English and Arabic. المشكلة هنا اختلاف في قواعد النحو او في التكافؤ النحوي parameters : Compound words are translated into Arabic as an adjective and a noun. The rules of combination and word order of the target language should be taken into consideration. يتم ترجمتها الى اللغة العربية كصفة او اسم تكون ترجمتها نظام النقل البريطاني شديد الازدحام وقليل التمويل والتخطيط والصيانة استخدمنا طريقة الاستبدال - procedure: substitution urban congestion charges and taxes on non residential parking + - road charges and parking taxes هنا المشكله ايضا مرجعية ثقافية لانه لايوجد عندنا رسوم تفرض على الطرق او المواقف العامة - procedure: The concept itself does not exist . The aim here is to render the meaning not the concept. Literal translation and definition are used. الطريقة هنا نقل المعنى وليس المفهوم واستخدام طريقة الترجمة الحرفية - equivalence: رسوم الاختناقات المرورية و الضرائب المفروضة على الزوار لاستخدام المواقف غير السكنية للسيارات Downing Street هنا المشكلة ايضا مرجعية ثقافية الداوننق ستريت هو اسم مقر الحكومة البريطانيه This word is to be rendered by definition لذلك في الترجمة نضح توضيح او تعريف لها مقر الحكومة البريطانيه هنا انتهت المحاضرة الثامنة - deputy prime minister, John Prescott + the transport minister, Gavin Strang © problem : ( cultural reference ) ترجمة الاسماء هنا المشكله مرجعية ثقافية والاسماء عند ترجمتها تكتب كما هي ترجمة طبق الاصل او نسخ procedures: calque and cultural borrowing ( transliterating ) because both concepts exist in both equivalence نائب رئيس الوزراء جون بريسكوت وزير النقل جيفن سترانغ . - transport white paper + transport bill نوع المشكلة مرجعية ثقافية White paper is idiom هو تعبير او مصطلح المقصود فيه مشروع قانون ولكن ماهو بصفة رسمية زي المسودة This expression may suitably be translated through compensation لذلك طريقة الترجمة تكون عن طريق التعويض ( transport bill) : تقرير متعلق بالنقل - London First ¤ problem : ( cultural reference) ¤ parameters : text functions, and readership's knowledge of source culture. ¤ procedure: Because there is a definition provided after the word in ST, the suitable choice ¤ "cultural borrowing " ¤ equivalence : لندن فيرست هنا لندن فيرست اسم شركة او مجموعة لذلك عند الترجمة ننقل الاسم كما هو central and outer London ¤ problem : ( cultural reference) ¤ parameters : : text functions, cultural coherence, and readership's knowledge of source culture. ¤ procedure: The name of the city " London" is known and used by Arabs and can be borrowed .The rest of the expression may be literally translated so I opted for combination between cultural borrowing and literal translation. ¤ equivalence : وسط و ضواحي لندن نوع المشكلة مرجعية ثقافية لندن الاسم معروف عندنا باقي الجملة يمكن ترجمتها حرفيا او بواسطة الاقتراض وسط وضواحي لندن London Underground o problem: ( cultural reference ) This means of transport is not available in Saudi Arabia. معنى هذي الجملة ليس موجود عندنا او وسيلة النقل اللي هي المترو عرفناها عن طريق الثقافة المصرية لذلك الترجمة راح تكون مترو انفاق لندن طريقة الترجمة cultural borrowing and lexical creation). الاقتراض الثقافي اوصنع المفردات new Rail Authority o problem: cultural reference o parameters : : text functions, cultural coherence, and readership's knowledge of source culture. o procedure: I used communicative translation because the word " rail " in English isn't used in Arabic. o equivalence :مؤسسة تدير سكة الحديد نفس المشكلة المرجعية الثقافية - the transport department + local authorities The problem is that the word department in Saudi Arabia is connected with a part of a college or university and never means ministry . It is translated as " وزارة" back translated as " ministry ". كلمة departmentمعناها قسم ولكن المقصود بها في النص وزارة "Local authorities" : calque translation is used because it is culturally transparent that it exists in both legal systems in Britain and Saudi Arabia. equivalence of ( department ) : وزارة back translation: ministry equivalence of ( local authority ) السلطات المحلية هذا الجزء الاول من محاضرة التاسعة الباقي وهو ترجمة كلمة الملك اشوفه مهم وواضح في الملزمة بالتوفيق |
