# what is biology ??
- biology is a branch of science dealing with the study of life and all living things.
# what are non-living things ??
- non-living things do not have life .i.e. cannot grow, reproduce …….
- non- living things are objects like rock, wood ,……etc
# what are living organisms ??
- living organisms or living beings consist of one or more cells.

* unicellular organism consists of single cell.
e.g. amoeba, bacteria…..
* multicellular organism consists of many cells.
e.g. human,…..

- living organism perform various life processes like locomotion, nutrition , respiration , excretion , reproduction ,…..
- living organisms include plants , animals and micro organisms.
