بعد اذنج اختي رواسي رفيجتي محتاجه الكلمات وقلت لها خلاص بنزلهم بالمنتدى دامهم عندي اتمنى من الجميع الاستفاده والدعاء لي انا واختي رواسي بالنجاح :mh318::oao:

Unit 1 – Angels for One Another
Angel: a heavenly creature, sent from God, to help.
Bank vault: a safe, a lock-up place in a bank.
Be shocked: to be surprised and unhappy.
Bride: a woman on her wedding day.
Coincidence: the happening of two things at the same time, an unusual event.
Departure: an action of leaving from a place.
Drugged: under the influence of chemical substances.
Glance: to look quickly and then turn away.
Groom: a man on his wedding day.
Have daggers in one's eyes: to look at someone in great anger.
Lounge: a sitting room.
Medicine: chemical substances to help a sick person get better.
Non-stop: without interruption.
Poison: chemical substances that can hurt people.
Public address system: a loudspeaker system to give information.
Ruin: to spoil; to break.
Servant: a worker in one's home; a paid helper.
Waiting room: a place with chairs; where people can wait for appointments.
Unit 2 – Lessons from the Farm

Adult: a person over the age of 18.
Burlap: a type of strong, thick, coarse cloth made from hemp or jute.
Deduct: to subtract; to take away.
Din: a loud and unpleasant sound.
Earn: to work for money; to do a job and be paid for it.
Herd: a number of animals, such as cows or horses, together as a group.
High noon: the hottest time of the day, between 12 & 2 p.m.
Hired help: the person or people who are paid to work on a farm.
Hullabaloo: a din; a lot of noise caused by people or animals.
Insight: a sudden understanding of facts.
Kneel: to go down on ones knees and settle there.
Lung: one of two air- holding body organs.
Meadow: a field of grass where animals can eat the grass.
Motivation: a goal; a reason for doing something.
Obvious: clearly understood.
Planted: unmoving; stable.
Pluck: to pick; to pull off.
Stretch out: to lie down and prepare to rest or sleep.
Stubbornly: firmly; without listening to reason.
Surround: to be on all sides (with something in the middle).
Thunderstorm: a rainstorm with thunder and lightning.
Yearling: an animal that is a year old; an adolescent animal.

Unit3 – A Perfect Job
Airy: full of air; with good ventilation.
Arch: a curved doorway, usually without a door.
Attachment: an extra piece (here, a hose to clean furniture that is attached or connected to a vacuum cleaner).
Attack: to fight against (here, to begin to work with great energy and enthusiasm).
Bureau: a large piece of furniture that is used to store clothing in drawers.
China closet: a large piece of furniture, usually with fancy glass doors, in which dishes and glasses are kept.
Comment on: to give an opinion about.
Cushion: a hard pillow (usually a sofa or couch has cushions on it)
Damp: slightly wet.
Drawer: a box with handles that is pulled out of a desk or bureau, used for storing things.
Dust: **** particles in the air that collect on the top of furniture.
Mop: a cleaning tool on a stick, used to wash or remove dust from floors
Pantry: a small room for storage of kitchen things and food.
Perfect: not having any weak points or mistakes.
Play a few notes: to try to play a musical instrument.
Porch: a large room, usually not heated in winter, on the front or back of a house (Some porches have windows and screens; other are open).
Pots & pans: metal containers in which foods are cooked.
Rags: pieces of cloth used for cleaning.
Scrub: to clean with a brush.
Shake out: to hold onto one edge of (a cloth or rug) and move it up and down to remove dust and dirt.
Shine: to reflect light ( past tense = shone)
Silverware: knives, forks, and spoons used for eating and serving food.
Sparkle: to shine because of being clean.
Straighten: to put into order.
Sweep: to clean dirt from a floor with a broom.
Trash: garbage; things to throw away.
Window sill: a piece of wood at the bottom of a window frame.
Wipe: to use a cloth to clean the surface of.
Unit4-The Day Anna Kadulski Learned to Drive

Be all smiles: to be very happy about something.
Be speechless: to be too surprised to speak.
Complex: a group of related building (perhaps owned by one person).
Passenger seat: the seat next to the driver (in a car or truck).
Plead: to beg; to ask for something, with sincere feelings.

Take care of something: to know how to manage something.

Charming: pleasant in personality.
Dairy cow: an animal that gives lots of milk.
Deliver: to take to person, or to help a woman give birth to (a child).
Depressed: very sad in spirit.
Disagreement: a fight with words.
Enlist: to join.
Enroll: to become a student.
Graduate: to finish studies at a school; to get a degree or diploma.
Harsh: difficult to tolerate; severe; hear.
Hearing impairment: a lack of ability to hear sounds.
Intend: to plan; to mean for something to be (that way).
Legal paper: a document that can be used in court.
Patient: a person who is sick and in the hospital.
Quit claim: a legal paper in which a person gives up property.
Realization: an understanding of the facts.
Rights: the ability to own something, the ability to vote, and the like.
Senior citizen: a person over the age of 65.
Supervisor: a boss; a person in charge.
Undaunted: not stopped.
Veteran: a retired soldier.
Wounded: hurt in battle
Wrinkled: not smooth, but creased with many lines (said of old people's skin)

Unit6-Living with Nature
Bait: food used to catch animal such as fish or mice.
Beehive: a home for a community of bees, where there is a lot of honey.
Be in touch with: to communicate with easily; to be familiar with.
Be worth it: to give a good value in exchange for it.
Collect: to gather; to pick up and bring to one place.
Fish: to catch fish for food.
Fishhook: a curved wire with a sharp barb on the end for catching fish to eat.
Freeze: to become solid from cold.
Furnace: a central place for heating a building.

Gleaming: shiny.
Glove: a cloth or leather covering for a hand.
Hitch: to attach or connect so as to be able to pull.
Jar: a glass container with a large opening at the top, or mouth.

Pine knot: a hard piece of unburned wood from a burned tree from the place where a branch and tree trunk separated.
Plump: fat and juicy.
Ripe: ready to be used or eaten.
Rob: to take from; to steal from.
Scrape: to use a hard tool to remove something on the surface of another thing.
Slit: to cut with a knife in a straight line.
Stem: the green part between a fruit and the roots.
Sting: a painful bite or sore from a bee or other insect.
Trailer: a wheeled cart that can be pulled by a car or truck.
Wax: paraffin; candle wax.
