(1)

Ail ,who was working a long way from home ,wanted to send a letter to his wife ,but he could neither read nor write .and he had to work all day , so he could only look for somebody to write his letter late at night .At last he found the house of a letter-writer whose name was Nasreddin .
Nasreddin was already in bed .it late , he said what do you want? I want you to write a letter to my wife ,said ail . nasreddin was not pleased. He thought for a few seconds and then said, has the letter got to go far ? what dose that matter ?answered Ali. Well, my writing is so strange that only I can read it , and if I have to travel a long way to read your letter to your wife , it will cost you a lot of money .Ail went away quickly.

?What was Ail doing
?Where was he
?What did he want to do
? What was nasreddin doing

Now the fist story

first

Ail ,who was working a long way from home ,wanted to send a letter to his wife
,but he could neither read nor write .

better to say un educated;un lettered;illiterate

and he had to work all day , so he could only look for somebody to write his letter. late at night ,at last he found the house of a letter-writer whose name was Nasreddin .

no need to use and here just start a new sentence

better to say the letter--writer's house . he owns the house not the house owns the writer

.Nasreddin was already in bed .It was late , he said what do you want?

when you narrate in English they usually , they usually Quote the speech of the character then they refer to the him or her like following:

what do you want '', he said ''

I want you to write a letter to my wife ,said Ail .Nasreddin was not pleased.

He thought for a few seconds and then said, has the letter got to go far ?

seconds are plural we can not use the singular A here

also do not forget the

what dose that matter ?answered Ali.

Thank you English for correcting the mistakes, I agree with you for all what you have done.
Of course we get tired when we write in English because we always write in Arabic and I hope we let English as a habit in our life to surpass this problem
I have only one notice which is (what dose that matter ? ) the correction is ( what is the matter? )
My best wishes

but mony is not singular

book is different

little has a lot of meanings and usages, here are some of them
1- small in size:a little house | a cake decorated with little flowers.
2- only a small amount or hardly any of something: there is very little money letf.
3- young, little children are young: We didn't have toys like this when I was little.

so little book means small book

and it should come before adjective, I have a little lovley book NOT I have a lovely little book)

actually later on is correct. But I don't know what is the difference between later and later on
some say: there is no difference and on here is just an intensifier
and some say that later on suggests that something will happen in the not too distant future, but with later there is no time limit.

I do not Know about the rule GRAMMATICALLY

BUT

When I watch a movie or anything in ENGLISH DIALOGUE

I hear them saying

LATER ON

if they are telling the others a Sequence of events

like: He went to the company early morning etc....later on he had dinner with the family. It comes between the events.

but for telling the others that I will meet them later they usually say: see you later or catch you later

I depended on what I hear mostly

Don’t worry , young man Answered nasreddin . every thing will soon be all right again .whit , and you will soon feel much happier.

The young man was very glad .am I going to get rich again than ? he asked nasreddin.
No , I didn’t mean that , said the old man . I meant that you would soon get used to being poor and to having no friend .

So, your opinion is that later on = after that

yes, it's one of its usages
and there are more

I took this example form the dictionary:
I can't eat all of this - I'll finish it later on

the best answer I've found for this, is that later can always replace later on, and the safest way is to use later instead of later on

you can say: see you later on
and you can say: see you later - more common

I think it's like will and going to. will can always replace going to, and using will is safer
