الزملاء والزميلات الكرام شكرا لمديحكم واود بهذه المناسبة الاعتذار عن حدوث بعض الاخطاء كما يحدث في اي جهد بشري.
وخلال المراجعة تبين لي ان اجابة السؤال رقم ٢٨ في الاسئلة الالحاقية هي الخيار C
حيث كان السؤال يقول ان المترجم يلجأ لصيغة الفعل المبني للمجهول passive *ليتجنب استخدام الجنس (ذكر/انثى) لانه لا يرغب بتحديد شيء ما على انه لجنس معين وهذا يحدث في ترجمة الاعلانات التجارية كالشامبو ، لذلك يستخدم المبني للمجهول لتجنب تحديد الجنس الذي يمكنه استخدام الشامبو .
فمرة اخرى الاجابة للسؤال ٢٨ هي C
وعذرا مرة اخرى ووفق الله الجميع.*

Languages vary in the extent to which they rely on word order to signal the relationship between elements in a clause.

تتفاوت اللغات في مدى قدرتها على الاعتماد على ترتيب الكلمات للإشارة إلى العلاقة
بين العناصر في الجملة.

Word order in English is relatively fixed. Compare this example:

The man ate the fish and the fish ate the man).

المكتوبة موحدة في أنواع مختلفة ..
 This unity depends on cohesion in form (i.e. the way in which utterances are linked structurally to facilitate interpretation of text) and coherence in meaning (i.e. the relationships among the different meanings in a text, literal meaning, communicative function or social meaning)
 هذه الوحدة تعتمد على مدى تماسك البناء ..مثلا .. طريقة ترابط الكلام و هيكلته في سبيل
تيسير فهم النص .. والتماسك في المعنى .. أي مدى ترابط معاني النص مع بعضها مع

•Strategic competence: the mastery of communication strategies which may be used to improve communication or to compensate for breakdowns in actual communication.

 The ST is normally given to the translator to translate.

 The Translator chooses a text in rare cases out of interest or for research purposes.

 The ST limits the translator who cannot change whole parts of the source text.

 The translator is the most important element in translation, without him translation does not happen.

The translator is a bilingual or a multi-lingual individual.

 The translator’s knowledge should include: knowledge of general linguistics, descriptive methodology and methodology of research applicable to SL and TL.

 The translator has knowledge of the SL and TL cultures.

What is the Process of Translation
 ما هي عملية الترجمة

1. It is a complex cognitive operation which takes place in the mind of the translator.
أنها عملية معقدة إدراكية تجري في
عقل المترجم.


2. This operation helps the translator to interpret and extract the meaning of the original text and re-encode this meaning in the target language.
هذه العملية تساعد المترجم على تفسير واستخراج

3. It is simply the abstract translating activities that take place in the mind of the translator before the production of the translated text.

What are the stages recognized in the process of translation? ما هي المراحل المعترف بها في عملية الترجمة



Editing the source text (ST) تحرير النص الأصلي
 Editing the ST is the study of the ST for establishing its authorship and authenticity and for reaching a linguistic form which is accepted for translation.
 تحرير النص الأصلي هي دراسة للنص الأصلي لتأسيس المؤلف وأصالتها
وللتوصل الى الشكل اللغوي الذي يتم قبول الترجمة
 Editing a ST is important in case of inscriptions on metal, stones clay tablets or other materials found on archaeological sites
 تحرير النص الأصلي مهم في حالة الكتابات على المعادن، والألواح الطينية
بالحجارة أو غيرها من المواد الموجودة على المواقع الأثرية
 The translator may not be involved in this stage whether the ST is old or new.
 لا يجوز للمترجم أن يشارك في هذه المرحلة ما إذا كان النص الأصلي قديم أو
جديد
 The Editing of a ST precedes its translation.
 التحرير من النص الأصلي يتقدم ترجمتها
 When editing or transcribing a text recorded on a cassette or a videotape, a number of factors should be considered as clarity of the recording, or the image on a video tape and knowledge of the dialects or slangs used in the ST.
 عندما تقوم بتحرير أو تدوين نص مسجل على شريط كاسيت أو شريط فيديو،
ينبغي النظر في عدد من العوامل مثل وضوح التسجيل، أو الصورة على شريط
الفيديو ومعرفة اللهجات أو slangs المستخدمة في النص الأصلي.



In such case the translator translates what is heard from a machine directly and commits it to writing it on paper or a screen.
 في مثل هذه الحالة يترجم المترجم ما يسمع من الجهاز بشكل مباشر ويلزم -
بالكتابة على الورق أو الشاشة.
 When the ST has been edited and adopted for translation, the translator then moves to another stage which is the stage of interpretation of the Source Text.
 عندما يتم تحرير النص الأصلي ويعتمد على الترجمة، ينتقل المترجم إلى مرحلة
أخرى وهي مرحلة تفسير نص المصدر.


Interpretation of the source text
 تفسير النص الأصلي
 Interpretation within the same language is seen as :
 ينظر الى التفسير ضمن نفس اللغة في :
 Giving the ST a reading which goes with lexis, grammar and meaning of the text in its linguistic and social context.
 إعطاء النص الأصلي قراءة تتنتقل مع LEXIS والنحو ومعنى النص في -
إطاره اللغوي والاجتماعي
 The process of assigning meaning to the text or utterances in it depends on the linguistic systems and contexts of the source Language.
 عملية تعيين معنى النص أو العبارات وذلك يعتمد على الأنظمة اللغوية والظروف
من لغة المصدر

The interpretation of a ST for giving it a specific meaning is a constructive process which involves: a linguistic analysis of the written/spoken symbols, script, sounds, and lexico-grammatical relations within the sentences and this newly built message will find its way to another language in terms of interpretation in a new language and formulation.
 . تفسير النص الأصلي ليعطيها معنى محدد في عملية البناء والتي تشمل: التحليل
اللغوي من الرموز الخطية التحدث/ الكتابه ، الأصوات، و - lexico والعلاقات -
النحوية داخل الجمل وهذه الرسالة شيدت حديثا لتشق طريقها إلى لغة أخرى من
حيث التفسير بلغة جديدة وصياغتها.
 The translator’s reading, judgment and decision concerning the meaning of a source text tend to be subjective and individualistic.
 قراءة المترجم وحكمه وقراره في معنى مصدر النص غالبا ما يميل الى أن يكون
ذاتي وفردي
 The translator however should take into account all other interpretations given to the ST to be translated especially in religious texts, old literary texts.
 ولكن ينبغي للمترجم أن يأخذ في الاعتبار جميع التفسيرات الأخرى الممنوحة
لترجمتها النص الأصلي خصوصا في النصوص الدينية، والنصوص الأدبية
القديمة.

Interpretation in a new language التفسير بلغة جديدة
 It is defined as ‘Trans formulating a linguistic/verbal text, or part of it, after interpreting it, to a language other than
its own.
 ويعرف بأنه " صياغة نص عبر لغوي / لفظي، أو جزء منه، بعد تفسيره، إلى لغة
أخرى غير الخاصة به.
 This Trans formulation is carried out by the translator and carries his/her fingerprints and uniqueness since it shows his/her interpretation of the source text, and the results from his /her interpretation in a new language.
 و تتم الصياغة من قبل المترجم ويحمل له / لها بصمة وطابع فريد لأنه يظهر له /
لها تفسير النص الأصلي، والنتائج له / لها تفسير بلغة جديدة
 The end product, interpretation in a new language, is a new text, the translated text.
 النتيجة النهائيه، التفسير بلغة جديدة، هو نص جديد، ونص مترجم.
 The most important aspect of interpretation in a new language is the movement –the crossing- from one language to another.
 الجانب الأكثر أهمية في التفسير بلغة جديدة هي حركة عبور من لغة إلى – -
أخرى

Formulating the translated text صياغة النص المترجم
 It is the stage of the translation process in which the translator chooses the lexis and structures that would make meaningful sentences functioning in a narrow co-text as elements of a well-structured text.
 هي مرحلة من مراحل عملية الترجمة والمترجم يختار - LEXIS والتراكيب التي
من شأنها أن تجعل الجمل ذات معنى وتعمل ضيقا لتعاون النص باعتباره من
عناصر التنظيم الجيد للنص

Formulation as a composing operation subjugates the interpretation of the translator of the system of the target language.
 عملية تأليف وتفسير للمترجم بنظام اللغة المستهدفة.
 It is the stage during which the translated text gradually takes form.
 خلال المرحلة بشكل تدريجي تأخذ نموذج ترجمة النص
 This formulation-composition- of the translated text is constrained by the quality and the results of the translator’s interpretive leap from the source text to the target language.
 يتم تقييد التركيب، والتكوين، في ترجمة النص مما يحد من جودة النص والنتائج
من خلال تفسير النص الأصلي إلى اللغة المستهدفة.


Editing the formulation التحريروالصياغة
 This is the final stage in the translation process.
 وهذه في عملية الترجمة هي المرحلة النهائية
 When the formulation of the translated text is completed, the translator can commence to edit the formulation.
 عند الانتهاء من إعداد ترجمة النص، لا يمكن للمترجم البدء لتعديل الصياغة.
 The editing of the formulation takes the form of a careful checking of possible slips of the tongue or other inaccuracies
 عملية تحريرالصياغة يأخذ شكل دقيق حذر في انزلاقات اللسان أو غيرها من
الأخطاء


It also involves a comparison between the translation products on the one hand and the prevailing linguistic features and cultural norms in the text type in the target language on the other.
 يشمل الاتفاق أيضا مقارنة بين المنتجات والترجمة من ناحية والمميزات اللغوية -
السائدة والمعايير الثقافية في نوع النص للغة المستهدفة من جهة أخرى.
