ال Cultural models نستخدمه في شئون حياتنا لشرح كيف ان بعض الكلمات يكون لها أكثر من معني situated meanings في ثقافتنا ونحتاج الى معرفة معنى الكلمة وكيف وردت في السياق context
فمثلا كلمة القهوة قد تعني الحبوب او المشروب وقد تعني في ثقافة أخرى شجرة القهوة .
ولو طبقنا Cultural models على مثال من الحياة ..فعند ملاحظة تكوين ملكة الاستقلالية في شخصية الطفل Independence value نجد ان من المفاهيم المعروفة في المجتمع بشكل عام ان الاطفال يولدون معتمدين على أبائهم في كل أمورهم ثم لا يلبثون يمارسون سلوكا متمردا وخارج السيطرة تلبية لحاجتهم النفسية في الاستقلال بشخصيتهم عن أبائهم.
هذة المفاهيم في تربية الاطفال موجودة في ثقافة المجتمع ومألوفة لأافراده منذ زمن فهي تراكم تجارب سابقة. وكونت social cultural knowledge الخاصة بهم

وهذة ال Cultural models غير جامدة بل تراجع وتتغير بين الناس
