في يوم رأس السنة الجديدة، نشرت (صحيفة ديلي ميرور) مناشده في الصفحة الأولى (الغلاف) من شارلوت، تتوسل لـ أنتوني ليعود للمنزل.

Lancashire Police said tonight a body found hanging from a tree in woods near the town's main playing fields is believed to be Anthony.
وقالت شرطة لانكشير بان جثة وجدت معلقه في شجره في الغابه بقرب ساحة الملعب الرئيسي للمدينه ويعتقد انه انتوني

In a statement tonight, Lancashire Police said: “Police can confirm that at 1.45pm on Monday the body of a man was found hanging from a tree in an area of Brickfield Wood, next to Worden Playing Fields at Leyland.
في بيان لها الليلة، قالت شرطة لانكشير :الشرطة يمكن أن تؤكد(تثبت) في
الساعة 01:45 يوم الاثنين على عثور جثة رجل يتدلى من شجرة في منطقة بريكفيلد وود، بجوارميدان ملعب وردن في ليلاند.

“The body was found by Lancashire Constabulary officers involved in the search for missing Anthony Stubbs.
وجد الجثه ضباط شرطة لانكشير المشاركين(المسؤلون) في البحث عن انتوني

“While formal identification has yet to be carried out, the body is believed to be that of Anthony Stubbs.
بينما (في حين) لايزال تحديد الهويه الرسميه للجثه قائما ،الا انه يعتقد انها لـ انتوني ستبس

“The death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage although a post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death.
لم يتم التعامل مع حاله وفاة ك مشبوهه في هذه الحاله على الرغم من ان تشخيص سيتم اجراءه(تنفيذه) لتحديد السبب الرئيسي للوفاة
