Courtesy is a nice behavior, but sometimes it leads to problems. One day I had a problem in my pc, and talked about it with a friend. He told me :"I have a computer workshop, give it to me I'll format it for you."
Formatting a computer is the easiest thing to do in computers, besides I don't want to format it, I just want to reinstall Windows and I have no problem in doing the two of them. But as a matter of courtesy I agreed to give my pc to him to fix it,
"What's worse can happen" I told my self.
But the worse had happened. He did it the bad way, and I lost some important data that he didn't even asked me before deleting them, and the storage capacity had shrunk for some reason.
So I did everything again from the beginning and backed up some data from my friend that I stored a copy of them in his pc previously fortunately.
Most of the time you prefer losing a device rather than losing data
