The pain and sadness seemed to spread to my soul
and I felt for the first time what the grown-ups call,

I wanted to run away,

I was not alone.
Down the wall near the corner
I saw two other boys who had sneaked out of the room.
They were big boys.
I knew they were from the farm of Delia.
