Finite verbs can have three forms:
الفعل المحدد قد يكون ايضاً
1. The base form (simple form) of the verb
e.g. walk, talk, drink, speak
1- البسيط
-الفعل البسيط : عباره عن كلمه واحده ..
2. 3rd person singular form of the verb
e.g. walks, talks, drinks, speaks
صيغة الطرف الثالث المفرد من الفعل او 3rd
3. The simple past form of the verb
e.g. walked, talked, drank, spoke
الماضي البسيط ويكون فيها الفعل منتظم بإضافة edللتصريف الأول للفعل او الأفعال الشاذه التي يحفظ تصريفها
[COLOR="Blue"]Non-finite verbs do not show tense, person and number. The verb “come” in the following sentences is an example of a non-finite verb.
الأفعال غير محدود لا تظهر متوترة، شخص والعدد
e.g.
الفعل "تأتي" في الجمل التالية هي مثال على الفعل غير محدود
I expect him to come soon. We expect them to come soon. (person and number)
He is coming now. He was coming at the same time yesterday. (tense)
Non-finite verbs can have three forms:
الأفعال الغير المحدده لها ثلاث صيغ
صيغة المصدر1. The infinitive
The infinitive has the same form as the base. It is often preceded by an infinitive marker “to”.
In some cases (e.g. after modal auxiliary verbs) the infinitive is bare (without “to”). For example:
I am waiting for him to come. (Infinitive with “to”)
He can come tomorrow. (Bare Infinitive)
2. Present Participle (also called –ing participle)
e.g. walking, talking, drinking, speaking
2. النعت الحالية (أيضا يسمى جي النعت) على سبيل المثال المشي، والحديث، وشرب، متحدثا
3. Past Participle (also called –ed participle)
e.g. walked, talked, drunk, spoken
. النعت الماضي (أيضا يسمى إد النعت) على سبيل المثال مشى، تحدث، في حالة سكر، وتحدث

Finite vs. Non-finite Clauses
العبارات المحدده والغير محدده
A finite clause is a clause which has a finite verb.
العباره المحدده هي التي تحتوي على فعل محدد
e.g. He is waiting for the headmaster to come.
هي عباره او فقره فعليه محدِّده لأنها تحتوي على مجموعه فعليه محدِّده وهي (is waiting
The previous above example has a finite verbal group, “is waiting”.
A non-finite clause is a clause which does not have a finite verb.
-العباره أو الفقره الغير محدِّده: هي الفقره التي لا تحتوي على فعل محدِّد..
In the previous example “for the headmaster to come” has a non-finite verb “to come”, but does not have a finite verb.
الفاعل وهو (the headmaster) الفعل (to come) ولكنه هنا جاء "عباره أو فقره غير محدِّده - non-finite clause
فهو وقع ( Infinitive with "to") اي انه جاء على صيغة مصدر مع "to"
At least one clause in an English sentence must be finite.
Simple sentences consist of one finite clause.
e.g. He is a student.
Compound and complex sentences consist of two or more clauses with at least one finite clause.
e.g. He is waiting for the headmaster to come.

يجب أن يكون شرط واحد على الأقل في الجملة الإنجليزية محدودة. تتكون جمل بسيطة من بند واحد محدود. على سبيل المثال كان طالبا. تتكون الجمل المركبة والمعقدة من اثنين أو أكثر من الشروط
