a metaphors is defined as figure of speech ,or something that we use to replace "normal" words in order to help others understand or enjoy our message, for example:we use the phrase "a blank of snow"to describe a snow fall that covers the ground evenly, as if the snow were a fabric.an idioms is a group of words which,whene used together, has a different meaning from the one wich the individual words have ,for example:how do you know about john`s illness? oh,i heard it on the grapevine.
