في أیامِ الصّیفِ كانَ مصطفى یسیرُ كلَّ صباحٍ إلى الحقلِ سائقاً ثیرانَھُ وعُجُولَھُ، حاملاً محراثَھ على كتفیھ،
مُصغیاً لتغاریدِ الشَّحاریرِ وحفیفِ أوراقِ الأغصانِ، وعندَ الظھیرةِ كانَ یقتربُ من السَّاقیةِ المتراكِضَةِ بین
مُنخفضاتِ تلك المروجِ الخضراءِ ویأكلُ زادَهُ تارِكاً على الأعشابِ ما بقيَ منَ الخبزِ للعصافیرِ
