'kitchen sink drama' it came to represent a whole generation of young people who felt that they had no say in the running of a society that was corrupt and rotten , and which was in effect run by those older than themselves entirely in their own interest.

**the language of the play is colloquial and rough , the sitting naturalistic , and the voice of protest is very audible..
