two important criteria in selecting you text :
عندي عنصرين مهمه في القطعه وهما:
1| word difficulty 2| length of text
شلون اقدر اقيس طول القطعه؟
How we can measure the length of text ?
عن طريق عد الكلمات اللي يحتويها النص
By count the words, how many words are there in this piece of text.
راح تواجهني مشكله لما اجي اعد الكلمات في القطعه مثلا ممكن اعتبر
Long, longer – go ,goes
نفس الكلمات متشابهه فاعدهم مع بعض بس لو يجيني الفعل
Go,went
لهم نفس المعنى بس يختلفون بالزمن فهل هنا راح اعدهم مع بعض ككلمات متشابهه والا لا؟
عشان كذا يجب انه يكون عندي تعريف للكلمه وعلى اساسه ابدأ اعد الكلمات عشان اعرف طول النص
what a word is ?!!
based on this definition we can count word
there is something on count word called type – token
مثلا لقينا كلمة
Longe
مكرره في القطعه خمس مرات
راح يكون الكلمه اللي انا قمت بعدها تسمى
Type
وعدد المرات اللي تكررت فيها
Token: The number of repetition of the same type
Token: The number of reoccurrence of the same word
اذا كنت مدرس ومهتم بان تعرف عمق معلومات طلابك فراح تهتم بال
Types
لانه مايهمك كم مره كرروا نفس الكلمه
#If you are concern with the Quality of the writing or Quality of speech of your students and you want to see how many defferent words you concern with #types

-1Main clause: ( also known as an independent clause ) is a clause that can stand alone as a
complete sentence.
يعني جملة ممكن انها توجد بروحها وافهم معناها وتعتبر جملة كامله
وعكسها
-2a dependent clause : ( also known as Subordinate clause) is a clause that cannot stand
alone as a complete sentence
جملة بوجودها بروحها مايكون لها اي معنى
-3Coordination
تعني ربط
نجي نشرح شنو ال
T units
هي عباره عن جملة اما يكون فيها
Main clause و a dependent clause
مثال عليها
When I got home, the new TV I ordered yesterday was on the doorstep
او يكون فيها
Coordination
ومثال عليها
-1John got up and left the room
-2John got up and Mary left the room
هنا اذا عندنا نص صعب ممكن نستخدم
t-unit
في القياس بدلا من الكلمات
We can use t-unit to Measure difficulty of the text
واخيرا تصنيف الاخطاء
Errors
ممكن تكون اخطاء نحوية
Grammar errors
او ممكن اخطاء في الكتابه
Vocab errors
او اخطاء شائعه من اللغة الام
