Hope is the Thing with Feathers
Hope is planning to stay. “Hope rests in our soul the way a bird rests on its perch
الأمل سيبقى في ارواحنا كما يبقى الطائر في العلياء
Hope is similar to a bird because of its free and independent spirit
شبهت الامل بالطائر لانه روحه مستقلة وحرة
“Thing” denotes that hope is something abstract and vague
قالت عن الأمل انه (شئ ) وكلمة شي تجعل الامل شي مجرد وغامض
“Feathers represent hope, because feathers offer the image of flying away to a new hope and a new beginning.”
الريش يمثل الأمل لأن الريش يجعلنا نتخيل اننا نطير بعيدا مع امل جديد وبداية جديدة
The line “And sings the tune—without the words,” gives the reader a sense that hope is universal.
في السطر اللي يقول يغني بإيقاع وبدون كلمات هذا يدل على ان الامل عالمي ..يعني الموسيقى الكل بيفهمها
مافيه كلمات في لغة معينه عشان احد يفهمها واحد لا
Dickinson’s poem further broadens the metaphor by giving hope delicate and sweet characteristics in the word “perches
هنا تشبيه او مقارنه metaphor لأن الكاتبة استخدمت كلمة “perches اي علياء والامل مو شي محسوس
عشان يطير بالعلياء لكن هي شبهته بالطير اللي يوصل للعلياء
