كان الرجل الأول الذي يظهر لنا مأسأة عالية تكتب عن الناس العاديين وبالنثر العادي اليومي

Before tragedy had concerned itself with kings and queens princes or princesses

قبل أبسن المأساة علقت نفسها مع الملوك والملكات والأمراء والأميرات

but he was the first to write a tragedy about ordinary people that proved a tremendous success

كان هو أول من كتب مأساة عن الناس العاديين وقد أثبت فيها نجاحا هائلاً

Ibsen's enduring greatness as a dramatist is due not to his technical innovations,
يتجلى نجاح أبسن ككاتب مسرحي ليس بسسب ابتكاراته التقنيه

but to the depth and subtlety of his understanding of human character
(especially feminine character)
ولكن لعمق ودقة فهمه لشخصية الأنسان ( الشخصية الأنثوية خاصة )

and, which is rarer, of human relationships
وهي من أندر العلاقات الأنسانيه
