وهي مكونة من عدد 2 مورفيم : preposition
والذي يعني قبل الموضع before position
وهي كلمات (قصيرة عادتاً)،
وظيفتها : ان تظهر علاقة بين كلمتين
مثلاً :
a boy from the east
هنا الـ preposition هو from والذي يظهر لنا العلاقة بين boy و east.
a bone for the dog
الـ preposition هنا يظهر العلاقة بين bone و dog.
العادة الـ preposition يقع قبل أسم noun أو ظمير pronoun
ليظهر العلاقه بينه وبين كلمة قريبة أخرى.
