1- Though I have focused on language, it is important to see that
making visible and recognizable who we are and what we are doing
always requires more than language.

(other people, objects, values, times and places)

3-The term “real Indian” is, of course, an “insiders’ term.” The fact that
it is used by some Native Americans in enacting their own identity
work does not license non- Native Americans to use the term.
اللفظ insidersيستخدم فقط للأمريكان الأصليين اللي هم الهنود يعني ..اما غير الأمريكان الأصليين مايسمح لهم باستخدام اللفظ

“real Indian” is not something one can simply be
مو شي سهل أنك تكون هندي حقيقي يعني لازم افعالك وتصرفاتك تثبت ىالشي
Rather, it is
something that one becomes in and through the doing of it, that is, in
carrying out the actual performance itself
يعني مو بس هندي --لاز تعمل بيها وهو ما يسمى بالتنفيذ الفعلي بحد ذاتهcarrying out the actual
performance itself

doing being-&-becoming-a-“real-Indian” is not something that one can do all by oneself. It requires
the participation of others
ان تكون هندي حقيقي هذا الشي يتطلب ممارسة ومشاركة مع الاخرين

“Real Indians” prefer to avoid conversation with strangers, Native American or otherwise
الهندي الحقيقي يتجنب التحدث مع الغرباء

“real Indians,” any conversation they do have with a stranger who may turn out to be a “real Indian
يعتبرون أي محادثة مع الغريب بتحوله لهندي حقيقي

search for the other‟s “real Indians” & in their display of their own “Indians,” “real Indians”
frequently engage in a distinctive form of verbal sparring
عشان يتأكدون أن الشخص هذا ىندي حقيقي يدخلون معه في نوع من الحديث نسميه السجال اللفظي(verbal sparring)
