hi girls!

today was the last lecture with mrs. Homa for shakespeare course. She told us some important points that we have to concentrate on for the final exam. If we prepare these questions well, we'll be able to answer the exam easily insha'allah....

*shakespearean tragedy...the question might be eather about the essences of the shakespearean tragedy or the influence of shakespeare on the elizabethean drama<<<u find these things in the handout
*the supernatural elements in julius caesar<<<very important
*the characters of julius caesar and othello<<<very important
*the significance of the handkerchief in othello....it is a symbol of love between desdemona and othello and then it becomes a misconception of the mistrust between them....u have to mention the role of the handkerchief in the play step by step<<<<it is very important
*the play' othello' is a fight of good and evil....othello represents the good side and iago the evil one...u make a comparison between these 2 characters
*there is a quotation when caesar compares himself to the northern star act 3, scene 1
*also when the soothsayer says to caesar to beware the ides of march
*act 3, scene 2 page 103 when brutus says,' be patient till the last.
Romans, countrymen, and lovers, hear..........'
*antony's funeral speech, act 3, scene 2 when antony says,' friends, romans.....'page 107
*iago is the director of the tragedy 'othello' and the other characters are second to him
*the scene when the consperators stabbed caesar<<<i think it is on page 87
*iago's soliloquy expressing his hatred towards othello
* desdemona's speech "my noble father..."act 1,scene3...page 37
* iago's speech 'o beware, my lord, of jealousy!
It is the green-eyed monster,...'
*desdemona' speech act3, scene 4 ..page 145' believe me, i had rather have lost my purse...'
*othello's speech' why did i marry ...page 125.'
*page 33 othello says'her father loved me...'
*page 155 emilia and desdemona have a conversation and emilia says'but jealous souls will not be answered so...'
* how does iago play with othello's mind and all others' characters. The dramatic irony...
This is all what mrs. Homma mentioned in the class today...wish u the best of luck all
