Sidney points out the defects of contemporary English poetry:
1- Tragedies are not following the rule of the three unities of time,place and action
2-Dramatists must give what is probable (should be ) not what is or was
3-dramatists have the liberty to change history for tragical convenience because they are makers of a new and better world
4-They shoud differentiate between what can be naarated and what can be acted on stage
5-some writers mix tragedy with comedy which he considrs wrong.
6-poetry aims at delighting,but not necessarily laughter,together with teaching.Sometime laughter destroys delight.
