The sea is indeed the main character and most impressive character in
the play . It is insping soul of the play. It is never off the stage .always present . It is symbol of death which has no mercy . There is always unequal fight between the sea and the character . The sea is always the winner and they are always losers. At the end of the play . We got the feeling that the sea is like a horse that can never be ridden . It is a horse not for riding. Anyone thinks of riding it . Death will be his desting..
.The sea is a source of life for the islander but also the inevitable couse of their death
