This quotation is taken from “Riders to the sea “by Synge. These words are said by Maurya to her son Bartly in their cottage. When Bartly wanted to go to the sea . She was sad when she said that, because she was scared that her son will die like the rest of the men in her family. She was sure that he will be drowned, she hasn’t another son, she is a very old woman and needs help, she told him that his sisters with out any one supports them. They are very poor and weak. She said that to convince her son to stay with them and change his mind.
