What is the difference in meaning between the following two sentences?
He came on a bus
He came by bus

He came on a bus
He came by bus
well, he came by bus means he get to a certain destination or place by bus, whilst he came on a bus is the equivalent to saying he came ON BOARD on a bus

I saw him plaing the football match
I saw him play the football match

I saw him plaing the football match
I saw him play the football match
when we say "I saw him playing", playing here means that at the moment that you saw him,he was playing.
but in the second sentence, you knew that the game he played was the football
