What is the difference in meaning between the following two sentences?
Nasser starts his work on time
Nasser starts his work in time.
In the first sentence “Nasser starts his work on time” Preposition in time means Nasser starts his work at the planned time; neither late nor early, so if work starting time is 7:00 AM” that means Nasser starts at 7:00 AM not 6:55 AM or 7:02 AM. While in the second sentence “Nasser starts his work in time” Nasser starts his work with enough time to spare; before the last moment “ which means if the work starting time is 7:00 AM Nasser starts before 7:00 AM.
