هذه القصيده كتبها عندما كان على وشك ان يصبح اعمى وعمره اقل من 25 سنه بداه بصره يخفت شيئا فشيئا فكان حزينا ,
لكن الغريب في الامر او من سخرية الاقدار انه بعدما فقد بصره كتب افضل واهم القصائد في الادب الانقليزي .
