1- The atmosphere is dreamlike
2- the subject matter is ordinary, casual and of everyday life.
3- there is an ambiguity between the characters, the behaviors of the characters are not explained logically.
4- the play doesn't end in a didactic lesson. there is not concept of punishment and reward
5- usually in an impressionistic play involves sacrifice
6- in impressionistic play , physical touch is avoided. Wishes and desires are expressed with words . there is no presentation of actions.
