trace the origin of english novel?
the novel came about as an independent literary art form in the 18 th century.the novel as a concept was new and very different in its form and structure. much of early writings before 18 th century seemed to be brosaic and formless though there was evidence of wittengs that suggested the possible evolution of a new form of writings. this was a first work that came very close to remind the possible emergence of novel as an art form . pilgrims progress by john bunyan might well be seen as the first step taken in the direction of the noveles emergnce on the english literary scene . it also seemed that that ther were many writers wait waiting to wxploit the emerging trends of thought . among such writers were the people who came to the understanding that surely a new form of literature was on .

the first spark of what is generally beleved to be a steb in the direction of the novel writing was john bunyan . the work that came very close to remind the possible emergnce of novel as an art form was pilgrimes progress . what it did was to develop a story and some kind of a narrative to tell a story . the same narrative was to be later on one of the major features of the novel writing . among such writers were the people eho came to the understanding that surely a new form of leteature was on . the man who created the first english novel was daniel defoe
