حروف صوتيه ولاصوتيهٍ
حروف صوتيهٍ هيٍ Voiced sounds ويرمز لها v+
حروف لاصوتيهٍ Voiceless Sounds ويرمز لها v-
حروف صوتيهٍ هيٍ Voiced sounds ويرمز لها v+: هيٍ التي تصدر عن طريق انتشار الاحبال الصوتيه مع بعضها ويمر الهواء مع الاهتزازٍ
Voiced sounds: They are produced when the vocal cords are drawn together and the air passes with vibration.
حروف لاصوتيهٍ Voiceless Sounds ويرمز لها v- وهي تصدر بتفريق الاحبال الصوتيه عن بعضها بحيث يخرج الهواء من الرئتين من غير عوائق
Voiceless Sounds: They are produced when the vocal cords are spread apart and the air from the lungs passes between them unimpeded.
مكان النطقٍ
Place of Articulation
1-Bilabials: The upper lip [ bi ] and the lower lip [labia ] -
The sounds that are produced by bilabials are [ p , b , m ]
شفاهيٍ :اعلى الشفاه واسفل الشفاه والاصوات التي يصدرها هي (p,b,m)
2. Labiodentals: The lower lip [ labia ] and the upper teeth [ dentals ] - The sounds that are produced by labiodentals are [ f , v ]
الشفاه والاسنانٍ :اسفل الشفاه واعلى الاسنان (الحروف النطعيه)
وتصدر الحروف (f,v)
3. Dentals: The sounds that are produced by the tongue tip and the upper front teeth-
The sounds that are produced by dentals are [ think , that ]
الاسنانٍ: وتصدر الاصوات من طرف اللسان والاسنان العلويه الاماميهٍ وتصدر الحروف النطعيهٍ مثل كلمه(think,that)
4. Alveolars: The sounds that are produced with the front part of the tongue on the alveolar ridge which is the rough , bony ridge immediately behind and above the upper teeth. [ t, d , s, z , n ]
السنخيهٍ:الاصوات التي يتم انتاجها مع االجزء الامامي من اللسان وفوق الاسنان العلياٍ[ t, d , s, z , n ]
Palatals/ Alveolar- palatals :- The sounds that are produced with the tongue and the palate[ the hard part in the roof of themouth ].
[ shut , church, treasure, joke ]
الحنكيٍ:الاصوات التي يتم انتاجها مع اللسان والحنكٍ (الجزء الصعب في سقف الفم)
6. Velars: The sounds that are produced with the back of the tongue against the velum [ soft palate ]
[ k , g , ng ,
الحلقيٍ: الجزء الحلقي من اللسان مع الشراع ( اللهاة)
7. Glottals : Glottis is the place between the vocal cords /folds in the larynx. The only sound that is produced without the active use of the tongue and other parts of the mouth. [ h
مزماريٍ: فتحة المزمار وهو المكان بين الاحبال الصوتيهٍ في الحنجرهٍ وهو الصوت الوحيد الذي ينتجٍ دون استخدامٍ اللسان اواجزاء خرى بالفمٍ مثل حرف الاتشٍh

Stops/ plosive : The consonant sounds that are produced as a result of blocking effect on the air stream, then letting it go abruptly .
امثله عليه: [p], , [t] , [d], [k], [g]
التي تصدر نتيجة انحباس الهواء واخراجه فجآه

2 - Fricatives:- The sounds produced when blocking the air stream and having the air pushed through the very narrow opening causing a type of
friction .
مثال: [ f] , [v] , [ think’] , [that] , [s] , [z] , [sh] , treasure]
يصدر نتيجةٍ انحباس الهواء في مجرى الهواء واندفاعه عبر فتحة ضيقة سببها الاحتكاك
ساكن
Affricates:- The sounds produced while combining a brief stopping of the air stream with an obstructed release causing some friction.
[ cheap] , [germ]
اصوات تخرجٍ عند تجميعٍ مختصر من الهواءمع اطلاق تيارات هواء بسبب عرقلة الاحتكاك
انفي
Nasals: The consonant sounds that are produced when the velum is lowered and the air stream is allowed to flow through the nose.
[m], [n], [ng]
والأصوات الساكنة التي تنتج عندما يتم خفض الشراع ويتم السماح لتدفق تيار الهواء عن طريق الأنف.

النوع L ينتج عن طريق السماح للهواء تدفق تيار حول جانبي اللسان وطرف اللسان
The Lateral liquid [L] is produced by letting the air stream flow around the sides of the tongue and the tip of the tongue

sound is formed with the tongue tip raised and curled back; near the alveolar ridge
الصوت هو شكل
مع طرف اللسان ورفع كرة لولبية من الظهر بالقرب من ريدج السنخية

Glides:- The sounds produced while combining a brief stopping of the air

الانزلاقات:أصواتا تخرج بينما و قف تجمع بين وجيزة من الهواءمع إطلاق تيار يسبب عرقلة بعض الاحتكاك
Glottal stop ساكن مزماري
انسداد الاوتار الصوتيه ثم انفتاحها
the vocal folds ( the glottis) is closed completely ( very briefly) then
released

طرف اللسانٍ Flap
طرف اللسان يضرب بالحنكٍ

حروف العلهٍ
ثلاث انواعٍ:
1. Front Vowels:
ا
حروف العله الاماميهٍ
مثله:
bead , beef, key, me, see, we
bid, myth, sit, hit, women
[3] bed, dead, said,
حروف العله المتوسطهٍ
2. Central Vowels:
امثله:
[e] above , oven, support
[v] butt, blood, dove, tough
3. Back vowels:
حروف العله الخلفيهٍ
امثله:
[ u ] boo, move, two, you
[ ] book, could, put, hot
[ ] born, caught, fall, raw
[ ] bod, cot, swan
اخر شي الادغامات
وهي التي تحتوي ع حرفين من حروف العلهٍ
Diphthongs: Sounds that consist of a combination of two vowel sounds.
[ai] buy, eye, I, my, pie, by, sigh
[au] cow, how, now, doubt, bough
[ ei ] eight, great, late, hate, say
[ ou] boat, throw, home, toe
[ oi ] boy, noise
schwa [ ] about , understand
