mmmm frankly i don't like to use such things ,,, and i ll tell you why,,,
We arab have some common words or expressions that we usually hate ... and when we encounter such stuff in english learning,we usually try to avoid them ...

For example most of native speakers say to their friends (dog) like they are calling them instead of the name,and you surely know that it's impossible to use this one in our society.So as in your expression ( put yourself in my shoes ) if you typically transform it in our language it woud be really shamed.Anyway im just saying that we can such alternative words that we won't face issues with them .
