What are the primary characteristics of a good translator

ماهي مواصفات المترجم الجيد ؟

The following are just a few of the primary characteristics of a good translator:

هذه مجرد صفات قليله مما يجب ان يتصف به المترجم الجيد ( هنا انا شوي رح ابكي لأنه مستخدم لغه ما ادري وشتبي في الحياه

)

*A Translator thinks and talks about translation from inside the process, knowing how it’s done, possessing a practical real-world sense of the problems involved.

اعتقد المقصد بهالنقطه ( لأنه ماشرحها ) ان المترجم الجيد حينما يترجم فكأنه يعييش النص اللي يترجمه .. يعني يترجم تاريخ يحس انه عايش في هذيك الحقبه .. يترجم دين يشعر بالدين وهكذا ..ما ادري صححوا لي ؟

Reliability: He acts in reliable ways delivering reliable translation by deadlines.

ان يكون معتمد عليه : في توصيل الترجمه المطلوبه في الوقت المحدد وان تكون ترجمه موثوقه

Timeliness: He should be timely, in the sense of not getting the translation arrive past the time of its usefulness or value.

ان يلتزم بالوقت : فلا يؤخر الترجمه عن وقتها المطلوبه فيه فتفقد قيمتها ( تشبه النقطه اللي قبلها )

Ethics: He should be ethical. In other words, it is unethical for the translator to distort the meaning of the source text.

ان يكون اخلاقي : بمعنى ان لا يغير في معنى النص الاصلي

Speed: A translator should be able to know when to speed and when to not to seeped. This depends on the following factors:
) 1 Typing speed 2) The level of text difficulty 3) Personal preferences or style 4) Job stress, general mental state.

السرعه : يجب على المترجم ان يعرف متى يسرع ويبطيء في الترجمه .. وهذا يعتمد على امور : سرعة الكتابه ..مستوى صعوبة النص .. التفضيلات الشخصيه في الترجمه ...ضغط العمل والحاله النفسيه بشكل عام

Memory: A Translator must be good at storing experiences in memory and retrieving those experiences whenever needed to solve complex translation problems.

سبق وقلنا هالنقطه : ان الذاكره عند المترجم يجب ان تكون جيده بحيث تختزل الخبرات والتجارب ليستدعيها مره اخرى في حال احتاجها في مواقف الترجمه الصعبه

Professional Pride: a Translator should have a professional integrity and professional self-esteem in what he/she does. He should feel that the job he is doing is important and people appreciate his work.

ان يكون فخور بوظيفته : ( يالله كل واحد\ه يفتخر قددددددددددددددمافيكم افتخروا ) ان يشعر بالثقه في نفسه ويشعر بأهمية ما يفعل ويعرف ان الناس يقدرونه

A Translator can write plainly, economically, gracefully, elegantly in a repertoire of registers, factual as well as emotional, popular as well as technical, official as well as slang.
