Course Orientation
Course syllabus:
A - This course introduces the main approaches to the theory and practice in translation.
B - It covers linguistics, socio-cultural, psychological and hermeneutic theories of translation.
C - It briefly treats the rising field of translation studies ,machine translation and computer aided.
D - The course provides coverage of methodological issues and techniques relevant to the practical courses that follow.

B- Interpretation and the language of translation; creativity convention in translation alshabab Omar 1996.
C- A textbook of translation ,prentice hall international chapter 5 & 9 new mark, peter.
D- Rutledge encyclopedia of translation studies 2 articles page 48 and 162 respectively for baker Mona & Daldanha, Gabriela 2011.
E- A short introduction to arabic\ English translation 2 introductory chapters for Halima ,AM.
Important note:
All the books mentioned we will search for an internet scan.
