Om kalthoom
Om kalthoom , who was the most famous singer in the Arab world, had a lovely voice that always made me feel very emotional. Her voice changed with the kind of song she sang. It could be very strong in pitch, or it could be quiet and soft depending on the music and the words. Sometimes the song were very harmonious like the sea waves on a quiet day. Other times her voice was as comfortable as a gentle spring breeze or as fiery as the summer sun.Her melodious voice captured the hearts of her audience; when she sang, the people who listened laughed or cried with her songs.Even now, many years after I heard her sing, Om kalthoom is still an unforgettable singer. When I listen to a recording of her voice, I always go deeply into the world of emotions. * * * * *

States of matter
Matter can exist in one of three statesــ solid, liquid and gas. It is possible for materials to be changed from one state to another. Most materials that are in common use are either in the solid or liquid state.
Metal and wood are examples of materials that occur in the solid state. Solids make very good building materials because they have a fixed state which is difficult to change. A force has to be applied to a solid to change its shape. The atoms within the solid are packed closely together , held in position by strong bonds. Although each atom is in a fixed position , the bond can be stretched . So the atoms can not move about, but they can vibrate if sufficient energy is applied.
Liquids can flow freely and change shape easily. They have a fixed volume, but take up the shape of their container because molecules within liquids are not strongly bonded to one another. For this reason , liquids are not normally used as structural materials. However , they are commonly used as lubricants to reduce the friction between two solids materials in contact with one another. Oil , for example, is used as a lubricant in car engines. Surprisingly enough, glass is also an example of a liquid . Glass looks as if it is a solid , but it is really a supercooled liquid. This is a special state in which the atoms of a liquid move so slowly in relation to one another that the liquid behaves as if it were a solid.
Gases have no fixed shape or volume, so they spread out *to fill the available space. This means that a small amount of gas released into a large room will quickly spread throughout the room. There are no bonds holding the molecules of gas to one another, so the molecules are free to move about very quickly in a random way, often colliding with each other. Even if a gas is placed in a container , it will still spread out to occupy all the available space .

Charles
Shirey Jackson
The day my son Laurie started kindergarten he renounced corduroy overalls with bibs and began wearing blue jeans with a belt; I watched him go off the first morning with the older girl next door, seeing clearly that an era of my life was ended, my sweet-voiced nursery-school tot replaced by a long-trousered, swaggering character who forgot to stop at the corner and wave good-by to me.
He came home the same way, the front door slamming open, his cap on the floor, and the voice suddenly become raucus shouting, "Isn't anybody here?"
At lunch he spoke insolently to his father, spilled his baby sister's milk, and remarked that his teacher said we were not to take the name of the Lord in vain.
" How was school today?" I asked, elaborately casual.
"All right," he said.
"Did you learn anything?" his father asked.
Laurie regarded his father coldly. "I didn't leran nothing," he said.
"Anything," I said. " Didn't learn anything."
" the teacher spanked a boy, though," Laurie said, addressing his bread and butter. " for being fresh." He added, with his mouth full.
"What did he do?" I asked, "who was it?"
Laurie thought. " it was Charles," he said. " he was fresh. The teacher spanked him and made him stand in a corner. He was awfully fresh."
" What did he do?" I asked again, but Laurie slid off his chair, took a cookie, and left, while his was still saying, " see here young man."

قراءة الكلام الديني
All prais is due to Almighty God, Allah. We praise Him and seek His help and forgiveness. And we seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our own selves and from our wicked deeds Whoever has been guided by Allah, there is none to misguide him; and whoever has been mis guided by Allah, none can guide him. I bear witness that there is no other god except Allah, alone, without partner or associate. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. May Allah, the Exalted, bestow His peace and blessings upon Prophet Muhammad, upon his good and pure family, as well as upon all of the noble companions, and upon those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Reckoning.
