These are the formal correct answers. In spoken American English you could say:

Q1: in (best), at (common spoken), with (rare); from = wrong

Q2: with = with the SUBJECT of French. In = in the French CLASS. At = not educated English; from = wrong

Prepositions in English / Germanic languages can be very tricky/difficult!
