The difference between derivational and inflectional morphemes
1/ inflectional morpheme never changes the grammatical category of a word. For example, both old and older are adjectives. The –er inflection here simply creates a different version of the adjective
يعني infliction لا تقوم بتغيير المعنى يظل مثل ما هو .
يعني اضفنا er- بس ما غيرت معنى الصفة نفسها Old هي Older نفس المعنى و الفئة ( من فئة الصفات )
2/derivational morpheme can change the grammatical category of a word. The verb teach becomes the noun teacher
لكن هنا derivation تقوم بتغيير المعنى أو ( الفئة سواءً كانت اسم او فعل ) عندنا المثال الكلمة كانت teach و هي فعل بعد ما سوينا لها ديريفيشن و هو بإضافة er- صارت الكلمة اسم teacher يعني أثرت فيه وصار من فعل ---> اسم
