Translation Problems & Word order
Languages vary in the extent to which they rely on word order to signal the relationship between elements in a clause.
تتفاوت اللغات في مدى قدرتها على الاعتماد على ترتيب الكلمات للإشارة إلى العلاقة بين العناصر في الجملة.
Word order in English is relatively fixed. Compare this example:
The man ate the fish and the fish ate the man).
ترتيب الكلمات في الإنجليزية ثابت نسبيا. قارن هذا المثال: )الرجل أكل السمك
والسمك يؤكل من الرجل (.
Arabic does not have fixed word order because it has elaborate case inflections.
العربية ليس لديها نظام ثابت للكلمة بسبب حالة تصريفاتها وتوضيحاتها
It is a matter of stylistic variation and it is available as a resource to signal emphasis and contrast and to organize message in a variety of ways.
