I do agree with you that such shortening should be used in writing. However, if it used, we at least know from the context what they mean

this is it

You're right, we can get the meaning form the context
but see this sentence

I ain't has not any moneys

we can get the meaning from the context even it's grammatically wrong

The role of grammar is that it helps us to get the meaning from context as easy as it could be

so this sentence which is grammatically right

I do not have money

you get the meaning easily
