i totally disagree with you on so many levels!!!
so what if it's a fan made ? those fans are really talented and maybe some of them would make
a great authors in the future ?
and why should i read something famous huh ? just bcuz it's famous and everyone had read it
i think this way of thinking is really shallow.. sorry
plus i really enjoy reading them so it's so interesting to me , and it's not pointless at all
i've tried to read a real book once it's "Vampire Acadimy" but was so boring barly finished 10pages of it

Hole it hold it, So i'm shallow coz I'm reading for Dickens, Bronte, Austin , Shakespeare and so many other great writers who when they write they actually express something, an idea or a point, if you read one book of them of one century u would almost know all the political, economical, social state of that century and how they used to live u would learn actual lessons from it !! I'm not against reading fanfiction at all but I might read one, two at the top but more would be such a waste of time with so many great books out there to read !!
I think the fanfiction is the "shallow" books since it's written with ppl who may not be qualified 4 writing
i'm not saying u should only read books that u learn from that would be boring I mean i'v read the whole Harry Potter & Twilight saga books & even old novels r fun too I'm just not gonna take chances of reading unknown novels HELL I have Homer on my shelf still haven't read it
and btw vampire academy was at best selling in the US although I haven't read it but a lot find it good, I know your point I don't say every famous book is good I mean I hate robinson crusoe and millions love it
PS: I'm not against reading online books i'v a hundred PDF lol
Read Pride and Prejudice or Jane Eyre then report back to me :D
