oh, sorry...i forgot to write the difference between paraphrasing and explaining a piece of literary work...when u r asked to paraphrase any piece of writing, u r simply asked to rewrite it in ur own words without any addition...u only write what is written in simple ordinary way...whereas explaining a piece of writing requires u to say what is behind the lines in addition to the paraphrase...u write if there is an idea, a theory, a reference or anything u fine it related...it's more complicated and deeper than paraphrasing...
