لها معاني كثيرة و متقاربة ... منها:
( حساس )

أي
1 ) الشخص الحذر من إثارة مشاعر الآخرين و القادر على تفهمها.
He is too sensitive to his wife's feelings that he sometimes despises himself to please her


و قد تأتي بمعنى
2 ) الشخص الذي يتأثر بسهولة و بأقل جهد.
Both are sensitive, no sooner had they joined us than they left because of some innocent comments


و أيضا
3 ) ما قد يثير الإنفعال - من غضب و إحراج .. إلخ - في نفوس الآخرين.
