2. Poetic licence – or liberties
q Creative translation of poetry could be fraught with difficulties, if not utterly impossible. So in terms of both form and content, it seems quite appropriate that our next example should be a line from AlShafee’s Poem: دعالأيامتفعلُماتشاء
الترجمة الإبداعية للشعر يمكن أن تكون محفوفة بالصعوبات، إذا لم تكن مستحيله . حتى من حيث الشكل والمضمون، فإنه يبدو مناسب تمام ذالك مثالنا القادم
سطر من قصيدة الشافعي:دع الأيام تفعلُ ماتشاء
دع الأيام تفعلُ ماتشاءُ وطب نفساً إذاحكم القضاءُ
q When trying to translate such poetic line, the translator encounters difficulties not only in conveying the religious implactures of the poem which was written more than twelve hundred years ago but also in transferring the poetic form implied in the rhyming and rhythm of the line.
عند محاولة ترجمة هذا السطر الشعري، المترجم واجه صعوبات ليس فقط في نقل إلتأثير الديني للقصيدة التي كتبت قبل أكثر من مئة اثني عشر عاماً ولكن أيضا في نقل النموذج الشعري تضمن في القافية وإيقاع السطر

C. Let life takes its toll whether you rise or fall

F. Etc…
