"Extreme Programmers" is a programming contest organized by Computer Science Group (CSG) and the Department of Computer Science at Sultan Qaboos University.
Description
The Department of Computer Science at Sultan Qaboos University has been organizing and hosting the contest annually since 2008. following its successful organization, The Department of Computer Science has decided to extend the invitation to all academic institutions in the GCC. The EPC provides college students, majoring in any computing-related field, an opportunity to demonstrate and sharpen their problem solving and computing skills in addition to a chance to meet fellow students from other Universities and Colleges in the region. Furthermore, EPC models the ACM Collegiate Programming Contest and hence providing an excellent preparation for participants in the ACM regional and world programming contests.
Outline Of The Event:
The event will be hosted by Sultan Qaboos University and will last two days. Registration and opening ceremony will be held on Saturday January 19, 2013. There will also be an excursion site seeing trip in Muscat in the same day. The practice session and the actual contest followed by the closing ceremony will be on Sunday January 20, 2013.
