How are “words” organized in the mind? والمقصود هنا كيف تنظم الكلمات او (العبارات )في العقل Comparison وذكر مقارنه
A desktop dictionary is usually consulted when we:
القاموس الي يكون بسطح المكتب عادة متى نستخدمه وذكر لنا في ماذا نستخدمه
What a word means
How a word is spelled
How a word is pronounced
And the words are usually organized alphabetically !
ماذا تعني الكلمه
كيف تكتب الكلمه
كيف تنطق الكلمه
وعادة الكلمات تنظم ابجديا
Our Mental Lexiconis organized a little bit different it:
القاموس العقلي لدينا هو مختلف قليلا في
It can accommodate new words
It can be accessed very quickly
استيعاب كلمات جديده
الوصول اليها بشكل سريع جدا
One example of how quick we can access our mental lexicon is what is commonly referred as the:
مثال واحد عن كيفية وصولنا بسرعه الى القاموس العقلي وهو مايشار اليه
“Tip-of-the-tongue phenomena” حسب ترجمتي في قوقل انه يقصد (بلاغ ظواهر اللسان)
is the situation where you are unable to access a word (or remember a word)in your mental lexicon and all you needed was the:
هذه الحاله الي تكون فيها غير قادرعلى الوصول او تذكر الكلمه في القاموس العقلي وانت بحاجه الى
meaning of the word
the sound of the word
the first letter
or what the word rhymes with
معنى الكلمه
صوت الكلمه
اول حرف للكلمه
القافيه التي مع الكلمه
A technical term
At this pint we should stop calling them words. The technical term for the items in the lexicon is entries. So we should re-phrase the question we posed at the beginning of this lecture and ask:
How are entries organized in the mind? مصطلح فني يقول انه يجب التوقف من نداء الكلمات
يعني اذاحابين نتذكر يكون فيه ادخالات )وذلك بانو في المصطلح الفني في العقل ادخالات
ونقوم بتكرار السؤال الذي ذكرناه في بداية المحاضره
How are entries organized in the mind? وجاب لنا صوره يمثل فيها كيف يجب ان يكون العقل وجاب لنا اسئله More questions
How are entries linked together?
How are entries accessed?
What information is contained in an entry?
كيف تربط الادخالات مع بعض كيف نوصل الى هذه الادخالات ماالمعلومات المدخله اليه وذكر Big problem The mental lexicon cannot be observed انه هناك مشكله كبيره الي هي القاموس العقلي لايمكن ملاحظته So how can we know?
Through creative experiments such as:
Lexical decisionand priming فطرح سؤال كيف نعرف وذلك من خلال الترجمه الابداعيه مثل وهذي صراحه مافهمتها(0معجمية القرار وفتيله خلصت واسأل الله لنا التوفيق فان اصبت فمن الله وان اخطأت فمن نفسي وفالكم A
