Sick Rose
?Who was write this poem
William Blake was born in London in 1757. he was an an English poet, painter and engraver. his family was middle he didn't receive any formal education he studied only how to write and read. then for 7 years he become apprentice for a famous engraver. he married Catherine Boucher who help him to produce Blake's collection of poem and drawing called Songs of Innocence and Experience. in song of innocence Blake describe live a sit seems to innocent children. in song of Experience he showed a mature person to understanding of pain and terror. he was greatest lyric writer and great member of romanticism. he write many poem such as 'the tiger of Jerusalem' and "the sick rose". he died in London in 1827.

The Form: it consists two stanza each one is quatrain

Paraphrase: in this two quatrain the poet is addressing the rose in forms is sick the cause of sickness is the love between the rose and "the invisible worm" this worm" has stolen in to the stolen in to the bed of rose under the cover of night "in the howling storm". the dark secret love of this worm destroying the rose life

Theme: the poet speak about the sickness of beautiful rose saying that it is because an invisible worm love. this worm destroy the essence of the rose. here the poet describe what happened in a small part of garden to show as what happens in real life. the poet explains moral issue that is the taboos of wrong relationship and how these relationship destroy person life

apostrophe: in the 1st line the 1st stanza we have apostrophe. the poet is addressing the rose which nonhuman if it were could answer.( O' Rose)
