Functions of the noun phrase
وهي سبع فقرات وتحفظونها والسابعه لها شرح مفصل بالمحاضره السابعه
طبعا في البدايه شارح الفرق بين
form اللي هو شكل الجمله وfunction اللي هو الوظيفه وهذا اللي يهمنا بالمحاضره
نبدأ
1-subject of a clause
يعني الفاعل طبعا ماتكون الجمله كامله من غير فاعل الا جملة الامر مايكون فيها فاعل لانه معروف على انه انت او انتم

2-Direct object of a verb
وهنا عارفين ان ال
Direct object يوجد في ال monotransitive
Ahmad finshed his work
3-Indirect object of averb
وطبعا هذا بيكون في ال
ditransitive
He gave Khaled abook
4-The complement of the subject+be
وال
complement طبعا يجي كلمه او جمله
It is necessary for the meaning to e comlete
هنا جاء كلمه وحده
Ahmad is my bast friend
هنا جاءت جمله

the complement of the object
He found Faisal هنا الجمله فيها Direct object الي في الmonotransitive
هنا بس كنت ابي اشرح ان الجمله فيها

الحين عرفنا ان الجمله
agood student هيcomplement of the object
6-Object of a preposition
ال
a preposition هي عباره عن in,on,of,off وهذي يجي بعدها noun phrase اللي يجي بعد ال
a preposition نسميه Object of a preposition
He walked on a high plateform
We are in the same class
7-Appositive to another Noun phrase
وال
Appositive عباره عن جمله تصف نفس الشخص

Verb be في الفقره الرابعه انها تعتبر تربط بين ال the complement و الsubject
وانها تسمى ب
capula وكتب تعريفها بانها=something that joins things together
