We’re going to start with gerund
We have two kind of gerunds:
➼ As subject
➼ As object
First of all the base form for the gerund:
v+ing
❧ Gerund as subject:
Its come at the beginning of the sentence and it always
singular, use a third person.
E.g.: sleeping early is good for your body.
❧ Gerund as object:
It’s come after the verb
E.g.: she began learning French.
We often use go with gerund to describe activities, and we
can use it in present or past tens.
E.g.: I went swimming for 2 hours.
