3- Oscar Wilde (1856-1900)

Another dramatist who took an important part in the revival of drama in the later part of the nineteenth century was Oscar Wilde.
It was only during the last five years of his life that he turned his attention to writing for the stage.
During his lifetime his plays became very popular, and they were thought to represent a high mark in English drama. But their importance was exaggerated, because they are merely the work of a skilled craftsman. It was mainly on account of their style- graceful, polished and full of wit-that they appealed to the audience. 

أوسكار وايلد :

هو كاتب مسرحي آخر تولى دورا هاما في إحياء الدراما في الجزء الأخير من القرن التاسع عشر .
كان ذلك في فقط أثناء السنوات الخمس الاخيرة في حياته ان تحول الى كتابة المسرحيات
طول حياته كانت مسرحياته مشهوره جدا وكان ينظر لها انها تحقق درجات عاليه في الدراما الانجليزيه .
لكن اهميتها كان مبالغا فيها لانها كانت عمل حرفي موهوب .
كانت تعتمد بشكل رئيسي على اسلوبها الرشيق واللامع والمليئ بالطرفه التي كان ينشدها الجمهور .
