Integrated geography Integrated geography: is the branch of geography that describes the spatial aspects of interactions between humans and the natural world.
It requires an understanding of the traditional aspects of physical and human geography, as well as the ways in which human societies conceptualize the environment.
The ozone layer
The stratosphere layercontains a thin layer of zone whichabsorbsmost of the harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
The ozone layer isbeingdepleted, and isgettingthinner over europe, Asia, North American and Antarctica... Holes are appearing in the ozone layer due to air pollution.
PRESSURE OF THE ATMOSPHERE
We must picture the earth as a ballsurrounded by a coat or envelope of air- the atmosphere. The upperlayers are pressing down on the lowerlayers, so the air thereismuchdenser and heavier, whilst in the upperlayersitisthin or rarefied.
The air pressure atsea-levelisaffected by severalfactors:
1- Temperature, heat causes air to expand and becomeless dense, and sowhen the temperatureishigh the pressure islow.
2- Water vapour, air withmuch water vapourlighterthan air alone. so the pressure isoftenless in rainyweatherwhen the air isdamp.
