المحاضرة تتكلم عن Lexical Words وهي الكلمات المعجميه
وتنقسم إلى
nouns, lexical verbs, adjectives, and adverbs.

والمحاضرة تتناول كل قسم من هالأقسام ال4 على حده وتشرحه من الناحية النحويه والصرفيه والدلاليه
o decide what class a word belongs to, it is useful to apply tests of three kinds:
 لتحديد كل فئة تنتمي إليها الكلمة، من المفيد تطبيق اختبارات لثلاثة أنواع
1. Morphological: what forms does a word have (e.g. in terms of stems and affixes)?
 المورفولوجية: ما هي أشكال الكلمة )مثلا - - - شروط اللاحقات(؟ ---
2. Syntactic: What syntactic role does a word play in phrases or other higher units?
 النحوية: ما هو الدور النحوي الممثل للكلمة في العبارات أو وحدات أعلى؟
3. Semantic: what type(s) of meaning does a word convey?
 الدلاليه: ما هو نوع )أنواع( المعنى لتمثل الكلمة؟

طبعا المحاضرة لها تفرعات كثيرة لذلك يفضل الرجوع لها واستماعها
Comparing lexica word classes in use
Nouns and verbs are clearly the most common types of words overall.
الواضح أن الأسماء والأفعال هي الأنواع الأكثر شيوع ا للكلمات العامة.
Conversation has a high density of verbs, unlike informative writing such as news and academic prose, which has a high density of nouns.
المحادثة لديها كثافة عالية من الأفعال وعلى عكس كتابة المفيد مثل الأخبار والنثر -
الأكاديمية، التي لديها كثافة عالية من الأسماء. -
Adjectives are linked to nouns, because they most frequently modify nouns. So informative writing, which has the highest density of nouns, also has the highest density of adjectives.
الصفات مرتبطة بالأسماء لأن أغلب الأحيان يمكنهم تعديل الأسماء. حتى كتابة -
المعلومات التي لديها أعلى كثافة من الأسماء، كما أنه لديها أعلى كثافة من الصفات -
Adverbs, on the other hand, are linked to verbs.
من ناحية أخرى الأحوال ترتبط بالأفعال -
They typically describe circumstances relating to actions, processes, and states that are denoted by verbs.
وهي عادة تصف الظروف المتعلقة بالإجراءات الأفعال والحالة التي ترمز إليه بواسطة
الأفعال
So conversation and fiction writing, which have the highest density of verbs, also have the highest density of adverbs.
حتى المحادثة وكتابة الخيال التي لديها أعلى كثافة من الأفعال، كما أن أعلى كثافة -
للأحوال.

المحاضرة الثالثه تتكلم عن Function Words الكلمات الوظيفية وانواعها
Function words can also be categorized in different classes: determiners, pronouns, auxiliary
verbs, prepositions, adverbial particles, coordinators, and subordinators.
