1- Create an initial class diagram for the information system described below. Make good use of the UML language to decorate your class diagram.
A Supermarket Stock-Control System: You have been contracted to design and implement a stock control system for a large chain of supermarkets. You system must manage all information on all items of stock, stock reordering, re-order quantities and levels, out-of-date checks as well as related supplier information. Your information system should also record information on all stock transactions so that management can later utilise this historical data. Your system should maintain all information required for stock control and all related payments.
2- Draw a State Machine diagram detailing the various state transitions that can be seen in a (landline) telephone handset during its interactions with the local telephone exchange?
3- Draw a use case diagram for the following information system. You may make reasonable assumptions about the overall problem domain. Make good use of the UML language in your answer.
A university information system is responsible for maintaining all centralized information on the following individuals: student, lecturer, professor and registrar. The information system must maintain records of the courses being offered by each department; all students that are enrolled on all courses, all lecturers will teach each course as well as the modules contribute to each course. The registrar decides which courses will be run in a given year while Professors assign lecturers to teach specific modules. Every course has an assigned course director, who is a lecturer.
