Examples: I love living in the city. I have a wonderful view of the entire city. I have an apartment. I can see the Golden Gate Bridge. I can see many cargo ships pass under the bridge each day. I like the restaurants in San Francisco. I can find wonderful food from just about every country. I don’t like the traffic in the city. I love living in the city of San Francisco. Discuss the function of each. Support your discussion with examples. Comma : use comma after dependent clause if it begins the sentence. Example:When I first moved to the city, I was afraid to drive the steep and narrow streets. Semicolons: It is a break in thought , but not a complete stop more like an elongated pause. Example: He ate six hotdogs;he also got a stomach ache. Colons: use to introduce a quotation longer than one sentence. Example: If you don't think you can handle it, get out of line now. Quotation marks: Use with direct sentence. من التجمعات السابقة الي مالنا غنى عنها نقلته للاستفادة
التوبيك سنتنس عادهً تأتي بالجمله الاولى في البراجراف وتعطي فكره عامه البراجراف وليس الموضوع كاامل وان كل جزئيه تسمى براجراف وكل براجراف له توبيك سنتنس بينما thesis معناها اختيار الجمله الوحيدة في المقاله كامل اللي تبين الهدف من المقاله فمثلا عندي مقال من اربع براجرافات له اربع توبيك سنتنس وله thesis واحد يختصر كل مادار في المقال كامل اللحين بعطيكم طريقه تطلعون فيها thesis لو جاب لكم مقال من امريكا ماراح يصعب عليكم استخراج الthesis يعني الفرق بين الثنتين الthesis مختصره والtopic عنوان طويل والا ايش Thesis داااائما موجود ماغير مكانه في اخر سطر في البراجراف الاول يمكن يكون عندنا مقاله طوويله مجزئه الى عشر براجرافات الthesis موجوده في البراجراف الاول اخر سطر الكونترولينج ايديا وهي دائما تعطي مزيداً من المعلومات عن التوبيك من شروط التوبيك السليم او الصحيح ان يكون جمله كامله تتكون من مبتداء وفعل اذا ماتوفر هالشرط في التوبيك معناته اختيارك غير صحيح كيف تعرفون الخاتمة ؟ دائما الخاتمه فيه لها دلالات بعدها فواصل مثلا: Finally, اخيرا In brief, بإختصار In conclusion, ختاماً Indeed ,في الوقع In short, بإختصار Lastly, اخيرا Therefore, لذلك Thus, وبالتالي To sum up , ونلخص جميعها دلالات خاتمه وبعدها فاصله مثل : ...we can see that بمعنى مثل مانرى او مثل ماحنا شايفين The evidence suggests that ..بمعنى تشير الأدلة الى ان .. These examples show that ... هذه الامثله ترينا ان... , Introductory Paragraph المقدمة A. Some attractive sentences (3-5), that give a general idea about the topic, and these sentences must attract the reader's interest. It is the first paragraph of the essay, and this paragraph has two parts: 0 B. Thesis statement, it consist of the main idea of the topic, and carries, usually, three ideas, which will be discussed in the three supporting paragraphs. and each paragraphs discusses one idea of thesis, just.0 Thesis Statement should be: o 1- One sentence. 2- Not a question. 3- Not a phrase. 4- It is the last sentence of the introductory paragraph. المقدمة هي اول فقرة من فقرات المقال , وتشمل المقدمة على شيئين: 1- بضعة جمل وغالبا تكون من ثلاث الى خمس جمل, وتجذب اهتمام القارئ, و تعطينا فكرة عن الموضوع المحدد. 2-والجملة الرئيسة في المقدمة, وهي اخر جملة بالمقدمة, وتكون عبارة عن الجملة التي تحمل الافكار الرئيسة في المقال, وغالبا تكون ثلاث أفكار, وكل فكرة توضح في فقرة من فقرات جسم المقال الثلاث. مالفرق بين Thesis&Topic sentence Topic sentence tells what you will write about in each paragraph. thesis is in first paragraph and explains what the whole paper is about. الفرق , الـ topic sentence عادة تكون الجملة الأولى في البراقراف ,وتعطي فكرة عامة عن البراقراف وليس الموضوع كامل , والـ thesis هي الجملة التي تعبر عن الهدف من الموضوع كاملا.. مثلا يكون عندك مقال في اربع براقرافات , يكون له اربع topic sentences ولها thesis واحد فقط يختصر كل ما دار في المقال كامل. يعني نقدر نقول thesis جملة تعبر عن الموضوع كاملاً . . وهذي ايضاً اجابة بالانجليزي عن الفرق من yahoo answers topic sentence تعطي فكرة عن جزء من اجزاء الموضوع. The topic sentence is usually the first sentence of the paragraph. It gives the reader an idea of what the paragraph is going to be about. A thesis statement in an essay is a sentence that identifies the purpose of the paper or previews its main ideas. ممكن يجيب اشاره انتقالية ويسئل ايش معناها فمثلا in addition معناها بالاضافه ومعناها او وظيفتها to introduce an additional idea لتقديم فكره إضافية شرح المحاضره السادسه ؛ للتبسيط اكثر كل جملتين مستقلات تربطهم روابط هالروابط مجموعين بكلمه(fanboys) نمسك حرف حرف ونشوفه ايش هو F=for A=and N=nor B=but O=or Y=yet S=so هذه مجموعه الروابط اللي تربط جملتين مستقلتين في بعض بدون فاصله بينما عندما نربط جمله مستقله في جمله غير مستقله تختلف الروابط وطريقه الكتابه ال independent clause هي الجملة مستقلة وواضحة يعني ما يبيلها شيء يشرحها مثل : I ate my lunch و ال dependent clause هي الجملة التابعة اللي تجي بعد ال independent وما تنفع تجي لحالها لأنها ما راح تعطي جملة مفيدة مثل : because i'm hungry ولمّا تجتمع الثنتين تعطينا ال Complex sentence وباختصار لما تشوفين جملتين بينها أي من أدوات الربط التالية اعرفي إنها جملة معقدة Complex sentence أدوات تكوين الجمل المعقدة subordinating conjunction : after- before- as soon as- since- when- while- a lthough- if- unless- because مثال ثاني : I will go to bed when I finish my home work التفصيل : I will go to bed = independent clause when I finish my home work = dependent clause عندما تأتي جمله بدايتها therefore /because/ however او اي من ظروف العطف لازم يتبعها فاصله ثم الجمله الغير مستقله ديبندكلوز ثم الجمله المستقله وايضا / الاشارات الانتقاليه ليست محصوره بفئه معينه فيه منها coordinator المنسقات/first/finally/however Phrases/inconculsion/on other hand هذي جميعها منسقات على شكل عباره بنما التوابع وهي subordinator تشمل /although/while/on lesson حروف العطف ايضا تعتبر منسقات للجمل مثل and/but/yet/or/so الاشارات الانتقاليه (transition signal) مهمه جدا لربط المقال ووحدته To coherence and unity معلومه/ دائما الجمله الغير مستقله تختم بفاصله لكي نربطها بالمستقله وذكرت لكم انه لكي نربط الغير مستقل بالمستقل لازمنا الاشارات الانتقاليه وهو كالتالي: جمله غير مستقله اشاره انتقاليه فاصله جمله مستقله عشان تعرفون وظايف الاشارات الانتقاليه شوفوا الجدول اللي بالمحاضره الخامسه بكذا تعرفون تحطون الاشاره المناسبه في الفراغ المناسب شرح الأخت ساره , منقول
